Agave is a woman and Latina-owned company that focuses on merging artisanal Mexican tradition with contemporary designs. We work one-on-one with each of our artisan partners in Mexico to blend our design vision and their years of heritage and process. They are truly our partners in everything we do and there is no greater honor than to learn their stories, share their passion and bring their beautiful creations to you.
As for us, the founders, we are two life-long friends from Monterrey, Mexico. We grew up just two blocks from each other but now live in different countries. Catalina lives in Monterrey and Mariana lives in Austin, Texas. The distance between us has inspired us to bridge the gap between the US market and Mexican art we love so much. We aim to highlight the abundant talent of our native Mexico and share it with people just waiting to find it.
